From their findings it seems that in New Zealand nostalgic toys will top the list of the most popular toys for Christmas 2013. Old brands will make a comeback, technology will continue to play a big part along and toys that perform well every year such as Lego and Disney products will also be popular.

Beware of button batteries this Christmas

Many of the presents that kids will be given this Christmas will contain button batteries. If swallowed, they create an electrical current which can cause burns and tissue damage to your little ones in less than 2 hours! In some instances they can also prove fatal.

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs & Safekids NZ urge parents to be vigilant and keep all button batteries out of reach.
